Congratulations to the ALDCA Winner of the 2024 K12 Photography Competition

The 2024 K12 Photography Competition boasted more than 12,000 entries from talented students nationwide. Among those were 87 submissions from students at Alabama Destinations Career Academy.  

This annual competition celebrates the artistic skills of kindergarten through 12th grade students and provides a platform for them to showcase their unique perspectives through the camera lens.

A total of $20,000 in cash prizes were awarded to this year’s winners! In each grade level, the 1st place winner received $1,000, the 2nd place winner took home $500, and the People’s Choice winner—selected through public voting—earned $100.

We’re incredibly proud of every student who participated, whether as a first-time competitor or a seasoned photographer. Even more exciting, we’re thrilled to announce that one of our very own students from Alabama Destinations Career Academy earned a top spot in this year’s competition!

We couldn’t be prouder of Sophia for her incredible achievements in this year’s competition. Her unique vision and dedication truly shined in her photography, and we can’t wait to see how she continues to evolve and flourish as an artist.
